How it works

Paste the Korean lyrics, one line per line, and each line appears with its romanization underneath. Leave a blank line between verses and the sheet keeps the gap. English lines in a song stay as they are, so a chorus that mixes both languages still reads naturally.

Why the spelling looks different from the Hangul

The romanization follows how Korean is said, not letter by letter. Korean sounds change when letters meet: 같이 is sung "gachi", 좋아해 is "joahae", and 먹어 is "meogeo". Singing the romanized line gives you the sound the singer actually makes. The Korean Romanizer explains each sound rule if you want to know why.

Tips for singing along

  • Start with the chorus. It repeats, so you learn it fastest.
  • Read the Hangul too. Keep "Korean + romanization" on and your eyes learn the letters while you sing. The alphabet chart takes about an hour to learn.
  • Print it. Press Print or save as PDF for a clean sheet with just the lyrics, for a concert, karaoke night or a fan chant practice.
  • Learn the fan words. See Korean for K-pop fans for 최애, 막내, 응원봉 and the lines fans shout.

About lyrics and copyright

Song lyrics belong to their writers, so this page doesn't publish any. You paste lyrics you already have, the romanization happens in your browser, and nothing is saved or sent anywhere. The example is Arirang, a traditional folk song.

Frequently asked questions

How do I romanize K-pop lyrics?

Paste the Korean lyrics into the box. Each line appears with its romanization underneath, written the way it is sung, following the Revised Romanization of Korean.

Why is the romanization different from other lyric sites?

Many fan romanizations spell letter by letter. This tool applies Korean sound changes, so 같이 becomes "gachi" and 좋아 becomes "joa": closer to what you hear in the song.

Can I print the lyrics?

Yes. Press "Print or save as PDF" and only the lyrics sheet is printed. Choose "Save as PDF" as the printer to keep a file.

Are the lyrics I paste saved?

No. Everything happens in your browser and nothing is stored or uploaded.
