Good to know

With these words and one pattern you can find almost anything: put 어디예요? ("where is it?") after the place. 화장실 어디예요? is "Where's the restroom?", and 지하철역 어디예요? is "Where's the subway station?".

Many place names end in a syllable that tells you what kind of place it is: 역 (station), 원 (as in 병원, hospital), 국 (as in 약국, pharmacy, and 우체국, post office) and 관 (as in 도서관, library). Spotting these endings helps you read signs before you know the whole word.
